As we've discussed before, Phil Bredesen is not responsable for the downfall of Tenn Care, nor is the Tennessee Justice Center.

The problem is the same thing that's wrong with our country in general, corporate greed. Along with many other such preditory companies, King Pharm robbed TennCare, and thus the people of this State, like thieves in the night.

Preditory companies, doctors, and preditory patients from out of State.

Next time you want to see where your TennCare went, just drive past the brand new iron fencing that now surrounds the King Pharm building. Or attend one of the extravagant banquets the King Brass hold at King College.

Perhaps the most disgraceful example of King Pharmaceutical's use of the stolen TennCare money is John Gregory and the Gregory family. The stolen TennCare money has shamelessly been used to further the Right-Wing Republican, Evangelical, anti-freedom agenda.

Contributions of the illegally obtained money have
been traced to Republican lawmakers and politicians in the Tennessee Government.

Well, now King has to give back the money it stole, and that's good. Problem is, it's a little too late.
But I'm sure John Gregory isn't worried about your healthcare, he has plenty of stolen State money to pay for the healthcare of himself and his family.

And these people have the nerve to call themselves "Christians".

King Pharmaceuticals pays back millions to the state

Tennessee stands to recover about nearly two million dollars from Bristol based King Pharmaceuticals.

The company announced earlier this week it will pay more than 124 million dollars to resolve claims that it charged federal and state governments too much for its drug products....

The state attorney general's office says king overcharged TennCare about 2-point-6 million dollars for drugs over nine years... The state will get back around 1-point-9 million, and the rest of the money will go to the federal government.

Virginia will receive about $2 million from the drugmaker in losses, interest and penalties, with about $1 million going to the Fed.

Nothing like some rightwing evangelical republican "loving kindness" to make one all warm and fuzzy huh?

These are truly sick people.
